Wow! I'm stunned and very pleased to note that Open Design's Castle Shadowcrag has been nominated in the "Best Electronic Book" category of the ENnie awards. For a product that has largely flown under the radar, this is amazing.
I have no illusions about winning the category, but really, it *IS* an honor just to be nominated. Seriously, I'm insanely happy that what started as an experiment in independent publishing can do this well. Makes for a hell of an anniversary gift, too. (Well, more for me than the wife. But still.)
Congrats to all the nominees! I find myself in excellent company.

I notice there is a certain heavy weighting toward Seattle in those nominations, but I think that makes sense given the number of companies present here (not to mention the ex-WotC influence).
Maybe I'm wrong, but will people vote for a product they can't see or buy?
Yes. ;-)
And possibly post a snippet from Shadowcrag for folks to review. In my copious free time. :)
Congrats & Good Luck Wolfgang!
Congrats!
But where's the bit where you say that you'd like to thank God? You already said that it was an honour just to be nominated. You may as well go for the whole cliche. :-)

"I'd like to thank my parents, who always supported me, and my beautiful wife, and my agent, and my dog." :)
Yeah, it is all a bit of a cliche, but really, I threw the PDF into contention with the expectation that it would maybe plant a seed in the judges' minds for next year. So, it's a pleasant surprise.
Maybe KQ will get a nomination next year?

Actually, given the size of the field, they probably have to give it a nomination just to round out the category. :)
