A New Kobold for the New Year

Kobold Quarterly is currently running a promotion, offering a cool set of seven FREE Q-Workshop dice with any new US subscription. Details over on koboldquarterly.com: check it out.

Oh, and there's a bit of a new look to the magazine as well.

Awesome. Put in my subscription just now after some tangeling with the fact that I recently moved and didn't realize I had to change the address. Anyway, look forward to seeing the new product!

Lessee, I'm shipping issue #3 here shortly, so even those subscribers who joined up at the very start have at least 1 more issue coming. Please resubscribe in the spring!

Alas, quantities are limited and I have to reserve the sweet Q-Workshop dice for new subscribers. The goal is to have enough subscribers to justify further increases in the page count, so really, everyone does benefit from the larger circulation.

And of course, you could get a gift subscription for a new subscriber. :)

That said, I suspect the dice offer may come back in some form in the future, and subscribers also have several other freebies and goodies headed their way in 2008.

By the time the first wave of subscribers need to renew in the Spring, I hope to have details of the Second Dice Offer. Given how popular the promotion has been, I'd be an idiot not to try it again at some point.

But for now, the promo is about new subscribers, including gift subs, as mentioned above.

Did I understand it correctly in the KQ3 that after this subscription is up with KQ4, we have to purchase KQ5 onward through our game stores? I assume not, since you are talking about a dice promo for resubscribers in the spring...

Sorry, I wasn't clear. The first subscribers will expire with issue #4, and need to renew. But subscriptions will be offered as long as there's a magazine.
