Six Arabian Nights SHIPS to Patrons!

  • Jan. 31st, 2008 at 4:05 PM
Arabian Caliph
Hurray! The Six Arabian Nights project, all of 94 pages of it with full color art throughout, has shipped to the patrons who commissioned it.

Behold the color and the dazzling shimmer, effendi, as fine as any silken carpet of Qom! Feel the texture and shiver with the hints of Dark Arabia, shadows that will scatter before your steel!

Thanks to all those who supported to the project, to the mappers who stepped in at the last minute, and to everyone who contributed to it. I'm very proud of this one!

At the same time, completing the commission means that the Six Arabian Nights are now no longer available to sponsors directly. It will be available to patrons of Blood of the Gorgon for a couple months yet, though with the usual late fee.

The print-on-demand version will be prepared in the coming week to 10 days, and should be available around Valentine's Day. It's been a great project, folks, and I hope you like the results.

Not to be a downer, but my name was misspelled on the playtest list. "Smits" not "Smit." It was fine on the patron list.

Looks great so far.

Wow.

What a beautifully rendered collection.

I'm pouring over it now, but it just looks amazing.

Thank you to everyone for their contributions to this. This will definitely be one the more prized pieces in my RPG collection.

It's full of awesome and win!

And if you want a serious comment, after a brief skim.. the presentation is highly evocative of the genere, and it looks a helluva lot of fun. No regrets, only delight!

Just completed part one - Siwal, City of Gardens - and I am so enthralled that I can hardly wait to finish my current campaign so that I can begin one in Siwal!
Will try to finish the entire project by the end of the day and get my critique in this weekend - only a couple of typos thus far.

And I LOVE the cactus treants of the Iron Spine! Awesome!

Got Typos?
Email whatever you find so we can add it to the list of changes for the errata edition.

Glad you like it!

Re: Got Typos?
Do I post them here or email them directly to Wolfgang?

Re: Got Typos?
Email 'em directly to either Wolfgang or myself. I'm maintaining an errata list before I dive into the Lulu version of the doc.

I have not had a chance to read anything yet!!! GRR...

Looking forward to reading it!

Thanks to all involved!

I'm getting an error when I try to download: "The download limit has been reached for this file."

That happened to me as well, the download limit being exceeded. I e-mailed Wolfgang at Gmail, and he fixed it lightning fast.

Huh, the second email's links are still live and working for me. Not sure what to tell you. Catch me in email if it wasn't a temporary error.

Still going through it...
Stupid question time.

Aside from the suggested Adv path (P.18 of the PDF), is it mentioned anywhere what levels the adventures are for?

Re: Still going through it...
The level suggestions are very hard to read (font is a little small and ornate), but it's right under the titles.

Wow, this reminds me of the early days and echoes perfectly of the thin Al-Quadim box sets ( I have the entire lot of them) and reminds me of how much I do miss DMing "arabian" style adventures. Your summary is spot on. The art is just outstanding! You have inspired me to go back to my old goodies and start a campaign right now! Thank you.

As good as I hoped it would be based on what I've read so far. Brings back a lot of great AQ memories and the art, particularly by DMAC, is excellent.

This (http://paizo.com/gameMastery/accessories/v5748btpy7ume) could be useful as a 3D environment for the fight to seize the Wind's Mistress.
