Green Light = Commission Met!

Green light
The commission for Blood of the Gorgon has been met, and the project is well and truly launched!

We will now delve into some of the details of the psychotic aristos involved in this plot, together with the various blood hags, the Gorgon Mother, cultists, and others who lurk in the adventure's corners and crevices, seeking to turn events to their own ends.

Ringmaster Nicolas Logue is at the helm, and we're underway with creepy villains and LOTS of excellent discussion to date about what works and what doesn't.

New patrons are still welcome until February 29th. After that, we may go quiet for a while as design closes in on a first draft.

Join us, won't you?

Good to go
Wow!
For some reason I thought we had met the target -shows how much I am in the loop!

Great news for us all then. I guess its time to let the Blood start flowing

That was pretty quick, although the 4E license collection was even faster.

Comparative
Just out of curiousity Wolfgang, do you find this one to be different than some of the previous? More or less active? Filled up quicker?

I was an 11th hour member of some of the previous ones, and this has been the first one that I've actively participated in.. and I'm curious how you see it differently than it's predecessors? That is, if you see a difference at all.

Re: Comparative
I think the trend over time has been to move out of the fundraising and into design faster. The first Open Design took more than 2 months to meet the commission. This one was closer to 2 weeks.

The main difference here is that Nicolas Logue has his own fans, some of whom have showed up here to see what he does in this format.

The other big difference is that this is a major 3.5 project in a time when there are less of those.

That makes me sad, the ignoble end of an era.

Im probly sticking with 3.5 with my main group for the foreseeable future, but after the CON this weekend, may end up forming up a second group to play under 4.0 rules... or at least make ar un at it /sigh!

I come back here and *poof*, there is what looks like a potentially excellent horror genre commission! I am quite excited about this... my group has just started the pathfinder adventure path and while we are only midway through the first module, I also can hardly wait to play Mr. Logue's #3 based on skimming through it. It has been quite some time since I have played a good horror module, but I think BotG has some potential.
