The success of the Kobold Guide to Game Design (Vol. 1) in PDF has prompted a paper edition. This is a digest-sized edition with a clean layout on heavy paper, and yet is slim enough for reading just about anywhere, with essays on game design basics and advanced topics. This particular volume is focused on worldbuilding and adventure design.

You can pick up the print edition of the Guide to Game Design at the Kobold Quarterly store.

Fantastic! I won't buy the PDF, but I'll gladly buy the print copy.

Is there any chance of having additional shipping methods added? Or of picking up a copy from a local convention or game store, or through Amazon? The $8 shipping is just a little too steep for me to justify.

I don't know where you live, but the shipping is about $2.50 in the United States.

Overseas, $8 is about right, I'm afraid.

Huh. Must have been a glitch this morning. The first time I tried to order there was just the $8 shipping option. Now there's just the $2.50 shipping option. And before there was a drop-down for shipping, whereas now there's a radio button. Very odd.

BTW: you might want to look into editing the "Checkout Success Sample Text ..." after you complete checkout.

Any chance for a combined print+pdf option?

Will print buyers also get the .pdf version, as with the regular OD sponsorships?

Allan.

Yeah, a way to get both for one price would be great . . .so that no matter where I am I'm never far from my Kobold Guide to Game Design (Vol. 1).
