The New Patrons

The patrons who signed on for this project early were taking a chance that I'd actually deliver. Well, I've delivered the first chunk on Monday.

The dozen senior patrons now have a rough manuscipt to review and comment on. All patrons will see a revised version soon. But it's not too late! I'm still taking new patrons for the next 30 days. Sort of.

Why sort of? The patron votes are mostly done. The closer I get to a final manuscript, the more it is locked down. Patrons get access, but there's less time for influence.

On the upside, the project is now a known quantity. The adventure is called "Steam & Brass", and
  • Includes one new monster (the steam golem) and two 3.5 updates (flayed man, possessor)
  • Features clockwork magic, elite kobolds, and the Mouse King
  • Designed for 12th, 8th, and 6th levels
  • Roughly 64 pages long
  • Color player handouts and professional maps
  • Two mysteries and strong tactical combat, plus zombie angels.

The next go 'round
At this stage, do you forsee doing another project of this sort, and if so, when? I'd love to get in as a patron if you do (alas, the steam and brass idea doesn't suit my style, but I'll probably still sign up).

Re: The next go 'round
Yes, I do see another go-round, though it may not be an adventure. There's been some call for setting material, and I may ask whether people would want a sourcebook, for example.

When? Well, I have promises to keep to Paizo and others, so the next one probably won't even start until January, and the final draft may be done in midsummer.

Please do sign up for this one; it's not all clockwork and necromancy, there's also investigation, crazed kobold snipers, and other amusing tactical diversions.

What style would you like to see for the next project?

more opportunities for patronship in the future
Hello Wolfgang and Patrons
I came across this site from a link @ D&D.com. I am thrilled with the concept and was wondering will there be additional opportunities to patronize future work?
Thanks,
Sean

Re: more opportunities for patronship in the future
Sean, you can still patronize the current project until the end of September, or hold out for an upcoming one.

I'll likely be putting a poll about what people would like the next project to be. Would you prefer an adventure, crunchbook, setting book? If you have a favorite particular topic, I'll add it to the poll.
