If you were not a patron of the 3E adventure, hey, cartographer Jonathan Roberts discussed how he got his start, how you can become a RPG mapper of renown, and how he does his work, including his tools and methods. Not shabby.

My thanks to all of them, and to everyone who had a hand in making the largest project in Open Design history a success.

Thanks to everyone who has donated to support this project, we're more than halfway there.
The OGL/3rd Edition crowd has the clear lead right now, due to one major donor and many smaller ones. They have momentum. But it's not yet clear whether that initial burst of OGL donations will continue, or whether the 4th Edition crowd will start to pick up ground. Could be a tortoise-and-hare race, I really don't know.
What I *do* know is that the brainstorming has been a delight, with excellent ideas for plot, for creatures, for trigger events, locations, architecture, and traps. There's a wonderful sense of madness and paranoia as a glorious dwarven hall slides horribly into chaos and ruin. Call it lost grandeur, a shining moment undermined by darkness. I'm starting to think this adventure will have it all.
Join us in laying the foundations, won't you?
We're looking for a few more folks who love 4th Edition or 3rd Edition of the world's most popular RPG to help put this adventure into motion. You get two books packed with everything you need to run a truly awesome dwarven adventure in the tradition of Moria and Undermountain.

Commission and Refunds
The commission must be met no later than February 28th (and it seems likely to happen sooner). At that point, if the commission isn't met, I'll refund everyone and write ... something else. Whenever the commission *IS* met, the design starts and the edition that wins becomes the system of choice for this project. The cost of patronage after that greenlight goes up, so sign up today!
