Today is the last day to support Nicolas Logue's Blood of the Gorgon project at the lower rates of $25 or $75. Starting tomorrow (meaning, when I wake up and update the site), patrons will see a higher entry fee.
The discussion and direction of the project have been very impressive so far, complete with cults, blood magic, new monsters drawing on great mythological roots. The adventure work has also led to an expansion of the Zobeck setting, in particular a set of details on one of the city's gentry and the various gangs of the city underworld.
Mostly, though, the adventure has big dollops of Edgar Allen Poe-style horror and Logue-style nastiness. You know how nasty one DM's imagination can be? Well, imagine 50 or 100 seasoned DMs brainstorming the best possible villains, encounters, and plot twists, and having the results crafted by Mr. Logue's expert hands.
Patron discussion around setting the adventure in the Pathfinder or Eberron settings will make this easy to adapt to those settings, and it fits readily into any homebrew with an alchemical tradition as well. It's an adventure that will terrify your players and change their characters — if it doesn't drive them entirely mad.
Why pay more? Sign up today and see what Mr. Logue is up to!

Time slips right past you sometimes. Tomorrow is the last day to join Open Design project; in 36 hours, the roll call of patrons will close. The PDF ships on or before Wednesday, October 4th. If you've been putting it off, this is the last opportunity.
I'll post a brief summary of the results for "Steam & Brass" for patrons on Monday: number of patrons, hours, finances, and so forth. It's been a great joy working for the bright and talented gamers who chose to support an oddball new style of publishing. My thanks to you all.
The first Open Design project is about to distributed to the people who fund the work before September 30; it's a private commission with lots of gamer input, an elite design for a small audience. The patrons of the project made sure it was the kind of adventure they actually want to play, instead of whatever a large company decides to publish.
The result is a stunning sandbox-style adventure called "Steam & Brass".
Please sign up today by clicking the button below; you'll receive the final adventure in PDF form on or before October 4th.
This adventure will not be sold after September 30. If you have questions or requests, please leave a comment!

This is it! Today's the last chance to sign up and vote for the adventure concept, the level of the scenario, to choose monsters you want included and dictate the play style.
I feel like the public radio guys, but here goes: "We're exactly one patron short of the funding goal. If you donate now, you'll launch the design of this project! And no matter what level you pledge, Phil Reed has offered a free copy of "A Dozen Dungeon Hazards" to anyone who signs up today or on July 4th!"
Seriously, if you've been following the site progress but haven't signed up yet, now's the time. All the discussion and design is provided to patrons only, and you can sign up for as little as $5. For a few dollars more, you get deeper access to the process, and even a critique of one of your query letters.
We have 46 patrons today. We're looking for a 47th ronin. Put this project over the top, won't you?

Yow! The response to the deadline has been terrific: we've got 40 patrons now, and I'm locking the barn at 45 or 50.
Why should you join? Well, Jeff Grubb, Chris Pramas of Green Ronin, and Phil Reed of Ronin Arts are patrons, but you don't have to be either a ronin or an industry guru to enjoy the project.
Smart, experienced GMs have already weighed in on project topics as well, and their opinions are changing the shape of what's coming (most recently, there's been a push for higher level play). The end result will have a sharper edge because 50 Popes are watching over every step of design. That sounds tough for me (and maybe it is), but the end result is going to rock.
The Open Design project won't be printed or sold in your friendly local game store, and there are just 4 more days to the deadline. Sign up today and watch it unfold.Update: Phil Reed has offered a free copy of "A Dozen Dungeon Hazards" to anyone who signs on at any level in the next 4 days. (Thanks, Phil!)
